It’s been too long :-)
Just did some price changes in my Etsy shop and wanted to let you guys know first! All nail sets (3, I know, I’m working on it!!) and a few knitted items were marked down. Feel free to take a look!
I recently opened a new shop on Etsy where I’ll be selling false nail sets, knitted stuff and other items when I can. If you’d like to take a look, I’ll put the link in below.
Thanks so much! Means the world to me!
Ay, long time no post. Some simple glitter ruffians to get me back in the game ;-).
Halloween leftovers, because I suck for not posting these a month ago, I know. Insert sob story about having no time for fun here. Anyways, if I yell at myself enough, I’ll keep up with nail art. Or I will get strange looks for yelling at myself. Probably both.
Candy corn themed tie dye nails, and some silver skeleton nails. Both were super fun to do, and I wish Halloween was all year long. Ah, well. All good things must come to an end…
I have not been as diligent about nail art as of late because…I learned how to knit. There, I said it. Now that I work at a craft store, I’m surrounded by all the fixin’s for these really cool ideas that pop into my head, one of which was learning how to knit. And I have not stopped since. Not just knitting, though, oh no. I have now, in my posession: tools and supplies for scrapbooking, paper twirling, cross stitching, knitting (obvi.); “advanced colorist pages” (big kid coloring books), acrylic craft paints of all shades, miniature canvasses, glitter, glitter, ribbon, and more f^&$%$g glitter.
Help me, I’m turning into Martha Stewart…
…and I like it.
Owls wearing witch hats? Yup, I did it. I wish I could keep my nails longer, but I do too much manual labor. This is the longest I can keep them without breakage. Which means my witch hat wearing owls are stumpy witch-hat-wearing owls. I have a bunch more ideas for Halloween designs alone, but there’s just no way I’ll be able to get them all done before then. Maybe I’ll whip out a blank nail set and have at it if I have time. Too much working, not enough nail painting. After this semester’s over, I should have more time. Until then…sad. :(
TIME WARP!! See last post for a “before” picture. My, how time has gone by…
So the green base is a color from Julep, but I can’t remember what it’s called. I’m also very comfy and too lazy to get up and look. Doesn’t matter, it looks different than the real shade because it’s topped with a GLOW IN THE DARK POLISH!!! Unfortunately I could not photograph them because my camera is afraid of the dark and adds light where it feels the need to, damn point-and-shoots…
I had so much fun with these, and as you can see on my board, more fun Halloween themes to come!
Inspired by Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. These guys were fun to paint!
Remember these?!?! Back from last year, when I was just starting out!
Jack o’ lanterns! These ARE based off of a design done by the (immensely) talented Kayla Shevonne, whose designs I discovered through a friend on Facebook. Check out her page. Now. You haven’t lived yet. And, she has a pet hedgehog, so yeah. That’s enough explanation for you. Here’s dat link:
For the base, I used Zoya Storm, which is the perfect balance of opaque black polish and holographic glitter flecks. I then used two more Zoya colors, Creamy and Arizona, for the details. There IS a reason the middle nail is left blank: it’s really not. I tried to use glow in the dark polish to do a bat silhouette, but it didn’t work out like I wanted it to. Also, my index nail is stubby because stocking shelves and unloading trucks is not good for nails, in case you were wondering.
So I’ll stop babbling now. I’m just feeling chatty today I guess.
